Rockstar Training Academy

Sound of Music's ROCKSTAR TRAINING ACADEMY is a 5-week program that offers students of all ages and skill levels a chance to play in a real band! Students are placed in bands based upon age, skill level, and interest. The students rehearse for the first 4 weeks and on the 5th week, they will perform in a full-fledged concert held at IUK's Haven's Auditorium in front of family, friends, and soon-to-be FANS!

Orientation will be held Saturday, February 4th at 2pm at the Sound of Music. During orientation, students will be placed into their bands and rehearsal times will be assigned.

Cost: $100.00 for the 5-week program and includes a band photo and commemorative T-shirt.

Intro to Guitar

Do you have a guitar that you bought years ago that you never learned how to play? Do you want to take lessons, but are unsure of the commitment?

Sound of Music's Intro to Guitar is a 90 minute group class going over the basics of guitar for beginners of all ages. The class is $10 and will be held here at the Sound of Music on January 7th, 2012 at 2:00pm. This class is taught by our very own Andrew Rosborough.

Cost: $10

Harmonica 101

Have you ever wanted to pick up harmonica? Now is the time!

Sound of Music's Harmonica 101 is a 4 week course to get you playing harmonica in no time! The 4 week course is $60 plus materials and starts Wednesday, January 11th at 5:00.

The class will be taught by our very own Ron Jones

Music Theory

Do you play music but want to go deeper? Do you know basic theory, but could use a refresher course?

Sound of Music's Music Theory course is a 4 week course that will give you the theory tools you need for whatever music you are into! The class will start January 14th, 2012 at the Sound of Music.

The class will be taught by our very own Ryan Record
